In January 2017 The Friends of Poole Park presented a cheque for the Heritage Lottery Fund bid to the Mayor of Poole.
Pictured are Mayor of Poole, Xena Dion, Friends of Poole Park Committee representatives Martin Whitchurch and Pat Lincoln and members Jacki and Tony.
The Heritage Lottery bid was subeqeuntly submitted with a contribution of £20,777 from the Friends of Poole Park and supporters. This was the second largest sum raised after the contribution by Poole Council and could be worth a whopping £200,000 if the bid is successful!
The amount raised included £10,000 from the charity funds and fundraising efforts. A huge thank you to all the volunteers who gave their time to make our events possible and everyone who donated via collecting boxes, rented a stall, bought a cake, a raffle or tombola ticket, had a go on our hoopla, lucky dip or hook a duck stalls.
