Poole Park is the perfect location for keeping fit and healthy.  With 100 acres of parkland, 2 lakes and superb sporting facilities, a visit to the park should be a regular fixture on your leisure calendar!

The park plays an important part in the local community with a popular cafe and contemporary waterside restaurant, soft play and children’s ice rink, two playground areas, cricket pitches, watersports, crazy golf course, putting green, tennis courts, model boat racing, and outdoor gym equipment.


This multi award winning activity centre provides all-weather family fun day out! At the heart of Poole Park is a circular cricket pitch and traditional sports pavilion which is available for hire from Poole Council.


The park lends itself well to recreational cycling and is a favourite with families teaching children to ride their first bike.  Situated next to Poole Park in Baiter Park is the Poole Cycle Speedway Club which is family friendly and extends a warm welcome to new riders.  The Cycle Speedway Club is the cycle racing equivalent to motorised speedway featuring four riders racing over four laps from a standing start.  The bikes are unique to the sport and have a single gear with no brakes.  With riders starting at just 4 years old, the club and sport is accessible for all ages!


Nestled next to Poole Park is Baiter Skate Park – a large park comprised of metal ramps in a fairly original layout, on a tamac base.  Baiter skatepark is a good local skatepark with a wide range of obstacles for all types of rider and all abilities. It’s a great place for beginners to practise the basics and also for more experienced skaters who like something a little more challenging.


Poole Park is perfect for those who like to get out and exercise in the fresh air.  Whether  its a gentle stroll, power walk or exercise with your dog, the park offers something for everyone.  Poole Council also run a Healthy walks scheme where walks are run from different locations and graded accordingly.  All walks are led by trained and experienced volunteer Walk Leaders and offer a great social opportunity to keep fit and have fun!


The park features acres of landscaped lawns, flowerbeds and beautiful areas for quiet contemplation.  It also features many areas of natural beauty with views across the harbour, wildflowers and weeping willows, under which many an hour can be spent over a leisurely picnic with friends and family.


Poole Park is super dog friendly, providing a safe and picturesque sanctuary for walking and playing with your favourite pooch!
